Maintenance tips

Jewellery is precious and should be treated with the utmost care. Some precautions are necessary to maintain its beauty and shine:

  • Jewellery does not like cosmetics, humidity in the bathroom, sand and sea, playing sports or doing a manual activity (detergents, bleach, ammonia or alcohol).
  • When you are not wearing your jewel, store it in a Hekaya case to protect it from any shock or scratches. It is not recommended to store several pieces of jewellery in the same box as they could get scratched by friction.
  • Your jewellery can be cleaned to intensify its shine: rub them gently with a soft toothbrush and soapy water, then rinse with hot water and dry with a soft cloth or with a hair dryer on cold air.

Protected, and refined, to give as a gift or wear your selected creation is presented in a protective case with its certificate of authenticity.

Description

Designed to draw attention to the natural beauty and lustre of the Arabian pearls, these enamel earrings also feature carnation flowers inspired by the floral motifs on the walls of Sheikh Zayed Grand mosque. Flowers in Islamic art evoked Qur'anic descriptions of Jannah (Paradise) and the garden of Eden.  Because of their extended blooming period, carnations symbolized power and renewal of life. Embellished with colourful enamel and peridot stones, these precious jewels are designed especially for the connoisseurs of art and Arabian pearls.

For hundreds of years, the finest pearls in the world were found in the waters of the Arabian Gulf. The history of pearl diving in this region goes back more than 7,000 years ago, a time when Arabian pearls travelled to Rome, Venice, Sri Lanka and even India. These pearls were one of the most sought-after accessories of the time. The shallow Arabian Gulf waters provided an ideal environment for pearling as the warm waters produced highly prized, colourful pearls with incredible lustre and luminosity.
