Yes. Hekaya fine jewellery is crafted in 18K gold and set with carefully selected diamonds, gemstones and other fine materials, as specified in each product description.
What is the coloured material used in Hekaya jewellery?
Hekaya uses high-performance jewellery ceramic rather than traditional vitreous enamel. It is chosen for its rich colour, smooth polished finish, durability and excellent colour stability.
Why does Hekaya use ceramic?
Ceramic allows us to achieve the strong, precise colours that are an important part of many Hekaya designs. Its smooth finish and colour stability make it particularly suited to our detailed patterns inspired by Islamic art, architecture and heritage.
Is Hekaya jewellery suitable for everyday wear?
Many Hekaya pieces can be worn regularly. As with all fine jewellery, we recommend removing your jewellery before exercising, swimming, showering or any activity that may expose it to strong impact, chemicals or excessive friction.
Is ceramic durable?
Yes. The high-performance ceramic used in our jewellery has excellent surface hardness and colour stability. However, fine jewellery should still be handled with care and protected from strong impact.
What materials do you use?
Depending on the design, Hekaya pieces are crafted in 18K gold and may feature ceramic, VS diamonds, pearls and carefully selected coloured gemstones. Full material details are provided on each product page.
Where is Hekaya jewellery made?
Our jewellery is made in the UAE by skilled jewellery craftsmen, combining specialist production techniques with detailed hand-finishing, stone setting and polishing.
Are Hekaya pieces handmade?
Our jewellery combines traditional craftsmanship with modern jewellery-making techniques. Many stages, including finishing, stone setting and detailing, require skilled work by hand.
Are Hekaya pieces made to order?
Many Hekaya designs are made to order rather than mass-produced. This allows us to maintain close attention to detail and create each piece specifically for its owner.
How long does it take to make my jewellery?
Production time depends on the design. Some pieces can be completed within approximately one week, while more intricate or bespoke designs may require several weeks. The expected lead time will be confirmed when you place your order.
Can I customise a Hekaya piece?
Selected designs may be customised in terms of size, gold colour, gemstones or other details. Please contact our team to discuss the possibilities for your chosen piece.
Do you create bespoke jewellery?
Yes. Hekaya accepts selected bespoke commissions. We can work with you to create a piece inspired by a personal story, idea or special occasion. Bespoke projects are discussed individually with our team.
Can I try on the jewellery before ordering?
Selected pieces may be available to view or try on in Dubai. As many Hekaya pieces are made to order, availability varies. Please contact us and our team will be happy to assist.
Can rings be made in my size?
Yes. Hekaya rings can be produced according to your ring size. If you are unsure of your size, please contact us before ordering and we will guide you.
Do you offer engraving?
Complimentary engraving is available for selected designs. Please contact us before placing your order to confirm the engraving options available for your chosen piece.
Why can't I pay the full amount online?
To follow Islamic principles relating to the sale of gold, the gold value of your order is settled at the time of handover rather than online. A down payment is collected when the order is placed to confirm your order and begin production. The remaining amount, including the gold value, is settled upon delivery.
How can I pay upon delivery?
Payment upon delivery can be made by cash or card. Our team will confirm the payment arrangements with you before delivery.
Where do you deliver?
We currently deliver across the UAE and to selected cities in Saudi Arabia. Please contact us to confirm delivery availability for your location in KSA.
Can I return or exchange my jewellery?
As many Hekaya pieces are made specifically for each client, made-to-order, customised and bespoke jewellery cannot be returned or exchanged once production has started. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges Policy for full details or contact us before placing your order if you have any questions.
How should I care for my Hekaya jewellery?
Avoid direct contact with perfumes, cosmetics, household chemicals and prolonged humidity. Remove your jewellery before swimming, exercising or showering, and store each piece separately to prevent scratching.
When needed, jewellery may be gently cleaned with a soft cloth or a soft toothbrush and mild soapy water, then carefully dried.
Will my jewellery come with a certificate?
Yes. Every Hekaya jewellery piece is accompanied by a certificate detailing the piece and its materials.
How will my order be packaged?
Every Hekaya piece is presented in our signature book-shaped jewellery case, together with its story and certificate. The packaging is designed to reflect the inspiration and meaning behind each Hekaya creation.
What makes Hekaya jewellery different?
Hekaya creates fine jewellery inspired by Islamic art, architecture and the cultural heritage of the region. Rather than following conventional jewellery designs, each piece begins with a story and transforms its patterns, symbols and meaning into wearable fine jewellery.
