Maintenance tips

Jewellery is precious and should be treated with the utmost care. Some precautions are necessary to maintain its beauty and shine:

  • Jewellery does not like cosmetics, humidity in the bathroom, sand and sea, playing sports or doing a manual activity (detergents, bleach, ammonia or alcohol).
  • When you are not wearing your jewel, store it in a Hekaya case to protect it from any shock or scratches. It is not recommended to store several pieces of jewellery in the same box as they could get scratched by friction.
  • Your jewellery can be cleaned to intensify its shine: rub it gently with a soft toothbrush and soapy water, then rinse with hot water and dry with a soft cloth or with a hair dryer on cold air.

Protected, and refined, to give as a gift or wear your selected creation is presented in a protective case with its certificate of authenticity.

Description

This sautoir was inspired by the story of true and epic love, that transcended the centuries and left its monumental footprint in the history of mankind - as the Bibi Khanum Mosque. Necklace features lapis lazuli beads with a pendant, crafted in 18K gold and set with emeralds. This sautoir necklace adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to any ensemble. Whether paired with a casual blouse and jeans or a formal evening gown, its intricate design and luxurious materials make it a standout accessory.

Amir Timur, the Great Conqueror (known in the West as Tamerlane), who ruled over Eurasia in 14th century, picked Samarkand, lying in the heart of the Silk Road, as the capital of his empire.
Timur had eight queens, but perhaps Bibi Khanum was the one still remembered by the people today. Meaning “highly respected lady”, Bibi Khanum was also the nickname for the queen that Timur loved the most, Saray Mulk Khanum. To build Bibi Khanum Mosque for her, Timur recruited the finest architects from Iran and India, not to mention around 200 stonemasons, 500 workers and 100 elephants. Standing 40 meters tall, the mosque was at the time largest of its kind in the world. Bibi Khanum Mosque represents everything a visitor, yearning to glimpse the history of this famous Silk Road city in Uzbekistan, could want: romance, beauty, and piety, a grand memorial to the wealth and glory of Samarkand’s past...
